Bareback and bridleless. My 6yr old daughter, Ella, and her amazing 11.2hh Dartmoor – Sweetie Pie
Ella loves to ride bareback on her dartmoor pony. It helps her to improve her balance as well as keeping her bottom warm. She practises riding with her seat and legs and she then moves on to bridleless to see if pony is listening to her aids and whether he balance is good without having reins to stabilise her!
Would you like to join in #Barebruary training theme? If you do, email your bareback pictures to firstname.lastname@example.org, post them to our Facebook page or Tweet at @aspireacademy adding #barebruary hashtag with a few words about how bareback riding has helped you with your riding skills – I will publish your photos on the blog throughout February!
